What is the longest Scalextric Track?
2.953 miles (4.752 kilometres)
This event broke the Guinness World Record for the longest ever Scalextric track in the world. It was built by James May and 300 volunteers at Brooklands, UK, on 16 August 2009 and intended to measure the original 2.75 miles (4.43 km) of the original Brooklands circuit. But because of the need to navigate modern features that block the original course it actually was 2.95 miles (4.75 km) in length.
The winner completed the circuit in just over two and a half hours. Organizers had expected it to take a maximum of 30 minutes.
